I don't think words are even necessary.

M's First Swim Meet

McKenzie started swim team a few months ago and has been LOVING it. She goes down to the pool most days and is really dedicated. The only thing we haven't been too dedicated to is swim meets. We've missed all of them so far and will miss Champs this weekend. BUT we did make it to the one on Saturday and it was a blast!

Another Day...It's time for Disneyland!

We spent the majority of our vacation time at Disneyland and California Adventure. The kids always have so much fun there (as do the grownups), and this time was no exception.

Toy Story Mania had to be one of the biggest hits amongst the kids, yes even McKenize. Who doesn't love carnival games? Who doesn't love 3D shoot 'em ups? These girls sure do!

I think Delanie was acting like a pirate, but I could be wrong.
You obviously can't tell from this picture, but this was one of her favorite rides. I swear.
Eeek - Bugs! Oh wait, it's just my family. Here we are waiting to watch the Bug's Life show. Let me tell you - this was NOT Aubrie's favorite and I wouldn't be surprised if she never and I mean never, no really NEVER went to see it again. She hated it. Oh well, live and learn.
Riding the carousel while McKenzie lives it up and rides California Screamin'!
After hearing wonderful things about the new show at California Adventure "World of Color" we got up early and got in line long before the park opened. See, you have to go to Grizzly River Rapids and get a "fast pass" to get your assigned showing area. So along with hundreds of other people we did it, got the passes (and later some of the best "seats" ever) - oh what we do for our kids. Here we are waiting and waiting. So patient that Delanie girl is.

Aubrie didn't want to sit, so McKenzie to wait the most comfortable way - in Aubrie's stroller. LOL!
After sending Daddy to get the passes, we decided to wait by the rocks. I wanted to get a picture. This is what the girls thought of that idea.
Gee thanks, girls... All in all - GREAT VACATION!

A little mishap and then more fun!

At the end of our official day of vacation we had a little mishap. Our sweet Aubrie decided that taking a header in to the frame of the foldout couch at 9pm was a good idea. Not only that, we didn't know where the closest Kaiser hospital was. After an HOUR of being jerked around by idiots who couldn't grasp the concept that we needed a SOCAL facility, we finally got the little munchkin to the ER. 4 hours later, 3 stitches - 1 internal and 2 external, she was passed out and exhausted. But that was nothing that a good night's sleep couldn't cure.Due to our little mishap, our hotel hopping plans to head to San Diego were squashed and we decided to take up residence in good ol' Anaheim. You know what that means...A trip to the CA Science Center! Silly folks, you thought I'd say Disneyland. No, that's tomorrow.

Science experiment = crazy stand up hair. The guy said it was the best he'd seen all day. :)

Building earthquake safe structures with Daddy.
Next Up...Disneyland

Lots and lots and lots and lots of...

PICTURES! I finally got through the majority of our Road Trip photos. It was a totally fun vacation and it was great looking back at the silliness of the girls and the memories we made. Here is the start of our vacation - buckle your seat belts and enjoy our first stop!

Fuschia & Orange

One of my favorite color combinations. In fact those were the colors for the Mr & mine's wedding. Very fun. So when I found this pettiskirt in those colors, I of course had to snap it up. Now being that I only have one child who actually LIKES to be in front of a camera these days - we have MORE pictures of the D.

Seriously. Could this girl be any more hilarious and cute?

We started with some twirling in heels.Twirling in heels was going pretty well.
Then we had some out of focus falling.
Which then moved to pretty light and little "posey pose".
How about some peace signs?
And then maybe a bit of dramatic acting.
All in an evenings work for this girl.

Land of the Free...Home of the Brave

Happy Birthday, America. 234 years young and still lookin' good. It's hard to imagine living anywhere else and really - why would we? We have tons of freedoms that we all take for granted and that are not even on the radar for many countries. Men and women both currently and years before have fought for us to have those freedoms. Today is day of Independence. A day of celebration. A day for food, friends, family and fireworks. Take a moment, say thank you and enjoy. Enjoy America and celebrate her BIRTHday.
