Laundry

Why is there always so much of it? I swear I was caught up on everything this past weekend - and that was only 3 days ago! Why are all of the baskets full again?

Darn this nice weather and Matt working outside. Which then results in a change or two a day in clothes for him. I guess I should tell him to stop working on the backyard of ours? Nah!

So guess what I'm doing today???

The story of lipstick

So what do you get when a 2 year old finds the lipstick?

Here is what you find...

So the PSA for the day is - Don't let your almost 9 year old keep her dance makeup, especially when she doesn't even dance anymore. You never know what a 2 year old might do with it.

My Mom's a DOCTOR!!!

Yep, that's right. Dr. Esther Corral-Carlson. After much razzing from her kids - she finished. While I was one of the biggest "give her a hard time" culprits, I am very proud of her. I barely finished out with my BA - I can't imagine doing a Masters and then a Doctorate program. No thanks!

Way to go, Mom!!!

Delanie & School

Delanie started school a couple of months ago and she is loving it. It took her a good 6 weeks to warm up to everyone, with her being the cautious type and all. Tuesday is painting day and boy does this girl love to paint.

McKenzie is doing very well in school - they started their yearly testing this week - and she hasn't complained once! Although it is only day 2. LOL! Her birthday is in just a few weeks - I can't believe that she is going to be 9!!!! Where did the time go???? I'm getting to old for this. ;o)

One year of smiles

It's a little late, but here's what I wrote for Aubrie on her First Birthday.

March 27, 2008

365 days - how many minutes is that? I don't really care, all I know is that it's been one hella of ride. You can into our lives "2 weeks late" and boy were you worth the wait. This time last year we were relishing in the fact that you were finally going to make your arrival. Now we are watching you crawl, cruise and wondering if you are ever going to walk.

You are by far the happiest of our girls, you smile like there is no tomorrow, I hope that your positive outlook on things continues as you grow older. Happiness is something we all should have, people should take a clue from beautiful children like you, smile - it really does make the world a happier and brighter place.

The relationship that I see blossoming with your sisters is one that I am proud to watch. Your face lights up everyone morning when Delanie comes into your room. And it lights up again when you see McKenzie after school. My hope for you girls is that you always look at each other that way and that you know you can always lean on each other. Your are each other's cheerleaders, so cheer LOUD for each other - we want the world to hear.

Aubrie Faith, you are a sweet little girl that has gone from a little 7 pound 8.7 ounce bundle to an almost toddling toddler-ish little girl. While I watch you lose your baby-ness, I watch you grow your kid-ness and while bittersweet, I can't wait for 365 more days times a million.
I love you.
Mommy

Aubrie turned ONE!

Aubrie celebrated her 1st Birthday in style with a Cupcake Themed Birthday party. It was a ton of fun and being the ham that she is, she loved the attention - or at I like to think she did.
I went all out and MADE cakes for Aubrie's birthday, now what a mom! It was a lot of work, but a lof of fun too. I think I channeled my Granny during the process, she was the cake decorating queen.

Aubrie was all smiles until everyone started singing Happy Birthday. but once she was given that taste of cake - watch out! She loved it!!!

The Months are Zooming By

The months are zooming by and I just can't keep up. Not with blogging, photo editing, scrapbooking, crafting, bow making, shoe decorating, kid rearing, etc, etc...And to think I want another baby! Ha - who am I kidding? LOL! But really, all in due time I say.

I've got a play date with some March Mommies on Sunday, they aren't my H&H girls, but I'm sure they'll be sweet nonetheless. I'm sure there will be lots of pictures, so stay tuned.

Here's back to keeping up - or at least trying!
