Christmas Sneek Peek
Christmas was a terrific day. Santa was good to us this year, but most of all we got to spend the day together as a family. Here is a sneek peek at our day.

Tamale Making
A Corral/Carlson Family tradition is to make tamales on Christmas Eve. We've done it for as long as I can remember, so on Christmas Eve morning the girls headed over to Papa & BooBoo's to help in the tamale making. It was a ton of fun and they were delicious!
Aubrie really got into tamale making!
Delanie making her first tamale of the day.

Salt Dough Ornaments
After our salt dough ornaments were dry it was time for the girls to decorate them - here are a few of the mess...er...creations that they made. :o)

PBS
My kids love PBS - Clifford the Big Red Dog, Dragon Tales, Curious George. Love them all. It's such a flash back of what McKenzie used to watch when she was Delanie's age. Sure brings back memories when those catchy little theme songs come on. McKenzie and I in our little cabin in the woods - ahhhh, the memories.
So - go grab the remote and watch some Clifford. That big red dog is bound to make ya laugh.

Craftin' with the Kids
Over the past couple of months I've been trying to do a craft project a week - just something to keep them entertained and to break up the day. Over the weekend we made salt dough ornaments. The kids had a great time - so take a look and enjoy!

It might happen
As you know I can be pretty creative, not to toot my own horn or anything. But I have this creative side to me that always needs to have an outlet. I didn't go down the interior design road, so I let it loose in graphic design and photography and other crafty little things - fun stuff. Over the years I think I've gotten pretty good behind a camera - sure there are places to improve, but I like to think my pictures capture something special. I've slowly been building my portfolio and started to think that maybe in 2009 I should venture out and start photographing people other than my family. Scary thought, huh? Who knows if it will really happen, but hey, a girl can dream - right?
The Happenings
Things have been going smoothly here in the Monaco house. We're getting ready to host Christmas for my crazy family - yes, I'm talking about you. I think we have our Christmas shopping done, so now it's time to start the wrapping. I would have Matt help, but he's well, not so good at it. ;o)
Work is crazy busy and I have a ton on my plate, which is good and bad. More work = more income but also = more stress, funny how that works.
All in all I can't wait for Christmas to get here. It'll be a nice way to end our not so great start of 2008 - so bring it on! We're starting fresh in 2009 - so look out!
Merry Christmas!!!
