For as long as Matt and I have been together I have worn slippers knitted by his Grandma. For as long as Matt can remember he has been wearing slippers that have been knitted by his Grandma. My girls wear slippers knitted by their Great-Grandma. It's a tradition, one that had gone on for years.
When she passed away last year I knew there would be a day when the slipper supply we had would run out. That time came a few months ago for Matt when his last two pairs had holes as big as Texas in the bottoms and I no longer had any left in his size to give him. It made me sad that he would never wear another pair of slippers knitted with love by Grandma. I don't know how to knit, so I knew that I couldn't make them for him, but I was on a mission find us slippers like Grandma used to make. After a bit of searching, I did find them - slippers just like Grandma's. I then thought that with her birthday coming up, we needed to celebrate her. So I got slippers for us, Matt's parents & Matt's brother and family. All of us to get a new pair of slippers on Grandma's birthday. I hope they enjoy Grandma's Slippers as much as we do.
Technically her birthday is tomorrow, but here we are with Grandma's slippers.

May your feet be warm,
And you hearts filled with love.
Happy Birthay, Grandma. We love you.
