Dressin' Up

Last night after swim lessons and dinner the girls decided that next on the evening menu was Dress Up Playtime. Oh dear - what fun they had. Oh and then since there was no crying at swim lessons they got special dessert. So Dress Up Playtime turned into Dress Up Playtime with Ice Cream Cones. Yikes!

Here is what we ended up with.
Delanie - Great fashion sense. Lovin' the outfit she picked.
Aubrie - Would have been better if she had her shoes on the right feet and she wasn't wearing PJ's underneath, but she's 3, so she did OK.
McKenzie - I have no idea.
Two sisters - aren't they sweet?

Now we get to the fun part - Delanie was styling in her pettiskirt and her new DC shoe steal from KidsSteals, we just had to snap a few shots of just her.

Gosh, I love that girl. (OK, I love all of my girls.)

Who needs Starbucks...

When you have a blender and a half flat of strawberries?

During the summer I l.o.v.e. to go to Starbucks and get a Strawberries and Cream Frap - yum. But let me tell you, those trips add up. And then you have all of your kids with you and they all want something - it's a $20 trip to Starbucks, yikes!

So this summer I decided to be smart and pull out the blender and make my own. I mean really, how hard can it be? It's not hard at all and boy does it hit the spot for this pregnant momma on a hot summer day.

So thank you to whomever it was that got Matt and I that blender for our wedding 6 years ago (sorry, I can't remember). It sure is coming handy making Strawberries and Cream Fraps a'la Briana. :)

Can I hear a Woot-Woot!

That's right - 30 weekers. Just about 10 (or so) to go. I hope it's not 12 - you know since my dear Aubrie decided to make her arrival 2 weeks AFTER the good ol' medical professionals said she would. Now if they would have listened to me they would have known that she was going to come closer to that date, but whatever. Anyway - 30 weeks under (or rather over) the belt. ;)

Preschool Graduate

What a wonderful night. Delanie graduated preschool and all of the kids did so great. It was so fun and sweet to watch all of the kids up there in their caps and gowns. It's still hard to believe that they will all be marching off to Kindergarten in the fall. Here are some pictures of our little graduate.

Crying and I already said that to Dad

Aubrie throwing a fit for who knows why - got a sock thrown across the car. Nice. But the best part of this video is at the end - listen to what Delanie has to say. "I already said that to Dad." Hahahaha!

The ABC's

McKenzie was in a variety/talent show at school last week and leading up to it that was the talk of the house. She was practicing a lot and the little girls were holding their own "talent shows". This is one of the many talent shows that were performed in the car while waiting for McKenzie to get out of school. :)

Smiles to Sillies

We started with some cute smiles...
But then we progressed to this...And this...

Silly Girls...

12-ish weeks to go...

That'll fly by now that the kids are out of school. Granted it could be a bit more or a bit less - but either way, it's getting close. :) Now if we could only find time to discuss a name for this kiddo.

Future Kindergartner

On Friday Delanie will officially graduate from Preschool. WOW. Then in August she will venture into the big world of Kindergarten. Seems like only yesterday (ok, almost 5 years of yesterdays) that she was a tiny little baby and Kindergarten seemed so far away. But now it's right around the corner and she is ready. And excited. So very excited. Her babyhood is long gone and now she's not only a big kid, but she's a big SCHOOL KID.

Today when I picked her up from school she informed me (again) that she graduates on Friday. And that it's time for a new backpack because "I'm starting Kindergarten, Mom." Well OK then, I guess one can't argue with that. So yes Delanie, come August you will have a new backpack. And a new school. And new teachers. And new friends. Kindergarten will bring lots of firsts. Some might be a little scary, but most will be fun. I am sure you might need hold my hand for just a little while, but before we both know it you'll run down the halls without so much as a backward glance. But don't you worry - I'll be watching and waiting, just in case you turn around. I'll be there with a smile and a wave, because after all, I am your MOM and that's my job.
