Backwards Day

Last Friday was Backwards Day at McKenzie's school. Being the Publicity Office on Student Council it is only appropriate that she particpate and get a little funky. So she wore - two different shoes, two different earrings, clothes inside out, mismatched gloves, her sweatshirt zipped up backwards and her hair only half done. What fun!

What a Croc of Sand!

During our fabulous heat wave of Spring earlier this week, Aubrie thought it would be a good idea and go to our beach, take Mommy's gardening Crocs and fill them with sand. Doesn't she look proud of herself?

Waterslide

It was such a nice day today that Matt set up the waterslide for the girls. They played hard and had a fabulous time. (And they napped really well too!) I wish the photos were better, but that thing glows orange!

Aubrie with $ Store Squirt Toys. Isn't the $ store great?!?!
This girl can slide. She was somersaulting off the top - crazy girl!
And since McKenzie was with her dad and wasn't home for watersliding, we'll throw a photo of her and Twinkie in, just so she doesn't feel left out. :) Like the sack McKenzie talked me into making for him?

Eggs = Exciting

Who knew that finding eggs would be this much fun?

Flashback Friday

Remember this? Oh how she loved that dog.

A little trampoline bounce

McKenzie is all about the trampoline. She loves doing flips and jumping like crazy. During a photo shoot last month she asked if I'd take a shot of her on the trampoline. I never got to those photos, until today. I thought this one was great.

Easter Sunday was a quiet day filled with lots of laughs.

Dollar Store Easter Goodies. Can't beat that price.
McKenzie and Delanie with the new member of the family, Twinkie - who will not be residing here with us, but at McKenzie's dads.
Lot at those eggs! Such pretty colors.

Happy Easter - Take 1

The Easter Bunny came to Papa & BooBoo's house a couple of days early. He brought a few books - can never go wrong with books - he hid a bunch of Easter eggs and the girls had a blast looking for them, especially Aubrie. This year the Egg Hunt was a hit. Can't wait until tomorrow to do it all again. How lucky are these girls that the Easter Bunny comes TWICE?!?!

Flowers

We bought some flowers to plant the other day, and although we haven't planted them yet, they sure are pretty in their containers. :)Well, we got some in to the dirt.
And then Aubrie decided digging them up might be a good thing.

Swallow Study

Tuesday was Delanie's Swallow Study - which is where she drinks this chalky white stuff and they do an Esophageal X-Ray to check and make sure that everything works right. They gave her a cute little hospital gown so she didn't get her shirt dirty and she did great. The X-Ray doc said everything looked fine and then her doctor called the next day to say everything was normal. So we are continuing as scheduled.

Silly Girls

Although the weather is a bit icky, the girls couldn't resist playing outside this morning. They are so silly.

Delanie´s ENT update

Delanie had her appointment with the Ear, Nose & Throat Doctor today and it went well. The ENT was very nice and we had a discussion about how the tonsils are affecting her. He agreed that they were large and given her choking that it would probably be best to have them removed. He looked down her throat with a camera (which she did not like) to make sure that there was nothing wrong in her throat that could be causing the problem. He didn't see anything. We will also be having a Swallow Study done - she will drink some liquid with dye and then they will do an x-ray to make sure there is nothing wrong atomically with her throat. If that comes back fine (which the doctor thinks it will), we will continue with our plan of surgery. Surgery is set for June 3rd. And since she is so young she will have to have the surgery done in the main hospital and have to most likely stay overnight one or two nights. It just depends on how well she swallows and eats after. That´s the update for now, we´ll keep you updated if anything changes.
